These jeans. <3
I found these men’s 501 Levis a few years back at my favorite vintage store in Dallas (Dolly Python). There’s just *something* about them that always makes me feel amazing.
In my experience, vintage finds usually need a dash of TLC to get them ready for regular use. Maybe a few days in the sunshine, maybe a trip to the dry cleaners, maybe a fresh dye job, or maybe an alteration.
These particular jeans were too big in the waist, but perfect everywhere else. So I enlisted my mom’s help, and we opened up the waistband and inserted some elastic into the back. Worked like a charm!
Whenever I post these jeans, I always struggle to find a similar version since they’re so unique. But this time I found these slouch jeans from American Eagle — they look just like them! I’d recommend grabbing a size or two up for a baggier fit.
