Take one look at my face and you’ll know this outfit brings me ALL THE HAPPY.
Red sneakers with a lavender floral dress may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it sure is mine today! I cannot get enough of the florals, the ruffles, and those colors!
So let me tell you about my red sneakers real quick:
My dear friend (and fellow fashion blogger) Mary Beth and I decided we wanted to get a friendship necklace of sorts — something to celebrate our friendship and our shared love of fashion. But instead of a necklace, SNEAKERS! Sneakers in a bright color!
So that’s exactly what we did.
We live in different cities, so on my last visit, we made a whole event out of ordering our sneakers together. Then, when they arrived, we Facetimed and had a lil’ try on session:
I love that every time I wear these happy red sneakers I think of Mary Beth, the way we’ve been there for each other in the past, and the good times to come.
Highly recommend doing something like this with one of your friends. <3

Before I go, I also snapped a few photos of this dress styled in a pared back way, with minimal accessories and plain white sneakers.
I gotta say, I love both looks. One reads a bit more playful and surprising, while the other reads more straightforward and expected. Perfect for different moods.
I’m wearing my beloved 2016 Veja Volley sneakers with this look. The Volley was discontinued a while back, but I just learned Veja is producing them again! WOOHOO!
For reference, they are even slimmer than a Samba — they have a dainty feel and fit more like Keds.
