After Tuesday’s maximalist-leaning outfit and Wednesday’s minimalist outfit, I thought let’s keep going — I’m just going to swing from aesthetic to aesthetic. Today’s vibe is classic and a little preppy.
There’s nothing so good as a Reformation blazer. This one is old, but this Gap Factory Relaxed Pinstripe Blazer is pretty great and also under $65. If you want to go the higher end route, try the Staud City Blazer — I love Staud and ummm this $450 blazer is ON SALE for $180! Favorite Daughter has a good blazer too. It’s pricey, but I love the lines on it — those slanted pockets would snatch the waist.
I got these AGolde shorts last summer and I’m so glad I did. After a wash they rumpled up in the BEST way — kinda rolling and fraying at the hem. In my regular size they fit just a touch baggy, which I love. I’m not one to shy away from a short short — in summer, my style could just be called “LEGS!” — but the inseam on these is a scooch longer than my typical shorts preference, which is nice. For a less expensive alternative, try the Abercrombie 5in Dad Shorts.
