It’s getting harder and harder to know when things *actually peak*

I’m finding it harder and harder to know when things *actually peak* these days. A trend might peak in one circle, but not in another — you never really know.

So maybe it’s just me, but I’m feeling very 2021 in this outfit! I wore big button up shirts, bike shorts, and dad sneakers allllll the time that year. (I’m curious, did you?)

I just recently learned that bike shorts completely fell out of favor somewhere between 2021 and 2023 — but according to fashion people (like Leandra or Jalil), they are coming back now in 2024? I missed all of the memos. Just been happily wearing them this whole time.

I do find it really fun and fascinating to follow along with the happenings in fashion (read: trends). I like trying new things or being a part of a moment.

And.

I also like to wear what I feel drawn to, no matter where it falls on the current in/out fashion spectrum.

A mix of both.

One enriches the other.
